Where the Wild Things Grow

Rabbitry

Rabbitry

Our rabbits are a mix of meat breeds: New Zealand’s, Flemish Giants, and Chinchilla. We strive to produce quality coats on our rabbits for fur production and to protect against the bitter New England winters.

Humanely Raised Rabbits

Our primary focus is meat production. Rabbit meat is a clean, all white meat with a lower percentage of fat than any other animal raised in production agriculture. Our rabbits are fed hay, hay based pellets, black oil sunflower seeds, leafy green vegetables, carrots & apples.

Many parts of the world have eaten rabbit meat for centuries yet Americans are still reluctant. In this article, Eat Rabbit A Global Source of Protein, Jenny Kim & Julie M. Fagan, Ph.D explore the reasons behind this reluctance and discuss the health & environmental benefits of rabbit meat.

UPDATE: We have temporarily suspended rabbitry operations.
