Where the Wild Things Grow

Apply to get on the Waitlist

Please Contact Us to get on our puppy wait list. Provide your name and what kind of lifestyle you have and any preferences you have for a pup like sex or color. Please remember the more flexible you are on sex and color the easier it is for us to place you with the proper pup. Deposits to hold puppies won’t be accepted until paws are on the ground (puppies are born). At this point we see what the universe has bestowed on us and accept deposits accordingly. Placing a deposit guarantees you a puppy spot in the litter that is current, it does not guarantee you a particular puppy, once again that decision is made at 6 weeks of age, if we do not feel there is a puppy that meets your lifestyle in the current litter you may move your deposit to a subsequent litter.

When puppies are born, we send each wait list applicant our official puppy contract.

Applicants are given an application in the order that they appear on our waitlist. It is highly unlikely a puppy will appear for sale from a current litter. You may also request to get on the wait list for a retired breeding dog.

What you’re getting when you purchase a puppy from us. A well balanced dog from carefully chosen parents based on health and temperament as well as classic beauty. We strive for a moderate drive collie, of medium build with a fit working coat. We choose for health first, meaning we pair our Dams and Sires based on genetic test results as well as a general bill of good health given from our reproductive veterinarian specialist. Our puppies are temperament tested at 6 weeks of age using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test, this accompanied by our observation notes (from 4-6 weeks) is how we place puppies in the proper home. We strive to place puppies where we think they will be the best fit for a lifetime.

Even though all puppies are handled the same each one is unique much like human siblings are unique, there will be variability in each litter, some pups might take after dad, some after mom and some will have throwback personalities to their grandparents or great grandparents. Please be patient with the selection process, we assure you it is worth it. Given this we still try to allow for as much choice as possible, but going forward we won’t be allowing anyone to claim a puppy at 3 days of age with no understanding of its character or individual needs.

Guardian Homes

We absolutely love to collaborate with other breeders and we also use guardian homes. Guardian homes are homes that keep dogs from us on contract for breeding, meaning the kennel retains the breeding rights of the pup but they primarily live in a pet home except when breeding/whelping. If you’d like to be considered for a Guardian home let us know. It is added responsibility but it is so worth it to be a part of this national movement.

  • Lanz Hollow “Proud Mary”, Anna Mae homed with the Scully Family
